Phillip Brunk is a contractor and founder of Proper Build. He is a builder and leader known for closing the gap between the construction phase and the initial design and planning of projects. his commitment to execute in the built environment is grounded in his passion for design, architecture and the construction process. Phillip leads his team of builders and contractors in the built environment as well as working beside architects, engineers, and designers to execute projects and tackle the challenges they incur. some of his most recent projects include the class in Santa Monica, ca and the pierce and ward store in Los Feliz, California among many residential renovations in Los Angeles, California.

Phillip studied business and art history at the university of Northridge while on a track and field scholarship for distance running. he shortly after took his drive and passion into the construction world, working for various developers and high-end architects before eventually acquiring his General-B Contractors license in the state of California and founding proper build. Phillip continues his passion for sport and adventure, recently completing the 2023 Boston marathon placing 540th in a time of 2:38:38. he believes the idea of passion, hard work and dedication translates effortlessly to the built world, where he is continues to develop and execute his expertise in the Los Angeles area.
